A Family Home Worth the Climb

This 138m², four-bedroom transportable home was designed for a young family who had found the perfect spot to make the most of some incredible views. Getting the home up to the elevated site required a little extra planning, with delivery dependent on dry weather to avoid a slippery access road. With a tractor providing a steady pull on the truck, it was slow and steady all the way to the top, and the move went smoothly.

Based on our popular Karapiro showhome plan, the design was adapted to suit the family's needs, including a larger bathroom with a bath for the kids and a fourth bedroom currently being used as a separate media room. The kitchen also received some thoughtful upgrades, with stone benchtops, selected handles and DishDrawer appliances, working alongside the team at Interior Fittings Taupō. Finished in COLORSTEEL® with feature Abodo timber cladding, this home is a great example of how one of our existing plans can be personalised to suit a family's lifestyle and a special piece of land.
